This app is AWESOME, I’m a mechanical engineer and use this app all the time for anything fastener-related. I only wish this app was updated to better utilize larger, more modern phone displays. I have looked for a different more modern app to replace this one, and I’m convinced that one doesn’t exist.

Excellent app. I use it daily on the Shop Floor. The $1.99 upgrade for the metric information is well worth it. If you work in Maintenance or the Machine Shop I highly recommend it. It’s a lot easier than digging that reference book out of your toolbox or going to the chart on the wall.

Nice application. Please add tap drill chart and clearance hole fits.

I use it a lot to see if things are in a ball park of right torque. Pretty helpful with automotive stuff too. A lot of people are complaining that the app doesn’t have a lot of extra functions but it works as advertised.

I use this app almost everyday at work. It has been the perfect reference for countless confusing situations. If you do FEA or CAD, you NEED this app.

I’m a hobbyist who machines and fabricates for my own projects. This app is very handy for me. It saves me from looking up screw dimensions in handbooks and walking to where I keep a drill chart. I do wish it had a tap drill table, that’d save me even more time. I read a review which mentioned tensile strength of some fasteners being different than other references. I haven’t compared those in the app to other references. I only use the dimensions and haven’t, so far, found any discrepancies. Good eye to the reviewer who caught those.

The app is very useful and convenient to use. I would give it a 5 star review, if it wasn’t for a few errors that can be easily rectified. For metric bolts of class 10.9 and 12.9 the proof strength is lower than what’s specified in the standards. Additionally, the calculation of the tensile stress area for all metric bolts is a bit off. Those two factors together leads the app to suggest a torque figure that’s lower than it should be. There’s an error in the tensile area calculation for SAE bolts too, but here it’s small enough to not really affect the suggested torque.

Love the app. It’s very complete but needs pipe threads added.

Very simple, helpful and nicely presented.

I have been using this app for many years. It has been an outstanding resource. My only complaint is there are no loose fit clearance hole sizes for US Screws. Tight and Normal fit are present for US Screws. I certainly will not remove a star for that minor complaint, since the remainder of the app is so great! Highly recommended.

The standard or US tab works but not the metric. That’s the one I really need. It won’t even let me purchase it

Easy to use and a handy reference point. All critical joints should be verified anyway, but this helps narrow it down and gives enough data that with CoF factors of surface treatment on fasteners, you can get pretty close. Can at least tell u if there is a major problem with specs.

Please don’t redesign this app and ruin it.

No idea what happened but I lost my metric screws... I just used it last week...

Was trying to find out the degrees on a metric flat head screw but it’s not specified on chart.

Great app for choosing proper drill sizes and visualizing your closest metric or standard options... I've had it for years and it still does the job ios 13.2.3

This app is excellent! I use it all the time in both design and fabrication. I’m not an Engineer by trade, but I am a registered Architect that routinely fabricates steel and wood elements within my buildings which involves structural calculations, and this app is a HUGE time saver! Please update the UI for iPhone X and newer though. Thank you and keep up the good work!

Why there is no dimensions available for this. I paid $2 for this app- totally disappointing.

This app has gotten myself and subordinates out of numerous tight spots when torque was not listed in the governing documents. Really easy to use, great teaching tool. I have been using this app for years, and it has yet to let me down when I needed information. Enjoy the white lettering on black background, really easy to see in various lighting conditions (even when the iPhone is in a sealed plastic bag, protection from seawater spray). Fantastic app.

This app is fantastic. I couldn’t wait for this to get updated to iOS 11 It drove me crazy not being able to use it. I do design work and I’m in the tool and die industry I use this all the time it is so handy. Great app, great job!

Are use it all the time, it's never my final answer, but it's always the first stop. It's a terrific pocket resource for sizes, clearances, and other data.

App has been updated and now works with IOS 11. Thank you for the update. I believe that this is the best app available for this source of material. I downloaded another similar app. For a much much higher price and while it may prove useful it falls short when compared to iEngineer. This app is quicker, more user friendly and has much more selections. I highly recommend this app if you work with design, engineering or maintenance daily. I’ve been a user for years and can’t imagine working without it.

I have been using this app practically since it was first released. It is the best app for getting all the info you need about bolts and screws - including metric ones. The clean interface has been made even better with the iOS 11 update. It is no a machinist bible and does not pretend to be one. If you just need info on a bolt, what through hole or tap hole to drill, fraction to decimal conversions, etc. this is the best you'll find.

All info is easy to get to, and the layout is intuitive. All in all a great app! I'll add my 2¢ to other reviewers. Space on the phone notwithstanding, this format would lend itself to even more Machinery's type info. [edit ->] 64 bit update?

I really need this daily. Could it be updated to 64 bit so that we could keep it for iOS 11?

One of my most used apps, and absolutely essential for any engineer.

Awesome but soon to be extinct if they don't release a 64 bit version for ios11.

This is a great quick reference app when needing basic fastener information. I won't say it's complete or as detailed as some may require, however, as a quick reference for things like clearances, dimensions, and basic strength and torque specifications, you can't beat it. I truly hope it is updated to 64bit so I can continue to use it!!

This app is very handy in my line of work. I also own an HVAC company and used it there also. Easy to use and saves a ton of time. Great job

This is such a great tool to have in your pocket. I do a lot of reverse engineering, 80% in a year, This allows me to have all of the bolt sizes and head configurations at my finger tips instead of hunting them down, and they are always right on. I enjoy this app very much. The owner of the company I work for asked me what I was doing on my phone and I showed him the app. Then I took him in my office and showed him what I used to do and he was just blown away by all of the time I saved. He said if anyone bothers you about the phone tell them to come see me. Later the next week in a company meeting he told everybody that I was the only one allowed on their phone. So I love this app. Oh and it very much had a lot to do with my awesome raise this year! Thanks Guys Kevin

Update please

All the information you need. Fraction chart reference to charts of Metric and SAE; drill bit sizes with number and letter and fraction sizes. Undoubtedly the the best! I use this app all the time.

I use the crap out of this. It beats going to a book or wall chart every five minutes to look up tap sizes and fit sizes.

I use this app at least one a day, handy, please update, your time is appreciated
